Regional Convention and Quiz Show @ CSU
REGIONAL CONVENTION and QUIZ SHOW The Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines (IECEP) Cagayan Valley Chapter conducted a regional seminar and quiz show hosted by the IECEP-Cagayan State University Chapter last September 18, 19 and 20, 2014.
The event’s theme was “Bridging Networks for Advance Living” has helped a lot to bond the relationship of ECE students and professionals in the entire region. It was participated by seven schools (7), Cagayan State University (CSU), University of St. Louis Tuguegarao (USLT), St. Mary’s University (SMU), St. Paul University Tuguegarao (SPUP), Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU), Patria Salbe Corpuz College (PSCC) and CVCITC
The program was started around 10:00 AM. Invocation was led to us by Ms. Jomarie Caranguian, Treasurer IECEP-CSU Student Chapter, and was followed by the singing of the national anthem. It was then followed by the very inspiring opening remarks of Engr. Pinky T. Jimenez, Board of Director IECEP Cagayan Valley Chapter. The presentation of participants and program rationale was delivered by the masters of the ceremony.
The QUIZ BEE battle was quite challenging since it was participated by the different performing schools in the region. It was difficult but only one shall win and will advance to the nationals. It was a hard fight but in the end Cagayan State University ranked first with a total score of 115, followed by the St. Paul University which has a total score of 75, then the University of St. Louis which has a total points of 70, then the Patria Salbe Corpuz College which has a total of 40 points. Cagayan State University will then represent the IECEP Cagayan Valley Chapter to the National Interscholastic Quiz which will be held at SMX Aura Taguig City on November 19, 2014. The three day seminar was started with a prayer and ended peacefully by a prayer.
